Summary
“This is lukewarm,” he informs her. “And it’s cold out.”
“I know.”
“Really cold.” He pauses, examining her face for a long moment before breaking into a wide grin. “Ah, I see. You’d really drag me out and expose me to the elements like that? All to play in some snow?” He doesn’t look particularly upset about it.

Phil thinks about Techno pressing a totem into his hands, days or weeks or months ago.
“Take it,” he’d murmured, tracing a finger over one of the emerald eyes. “I have extra.”

There’s a crack in the strange, glassy material they’ve set the eye into, like it’s moments away from splintering apart. How much time do they have?
“I’m sorry,” murmurs Philza as a feather tugs free from his left wing and drifts lazily into the portal. “I’m so, so sorry, but I need to leave now.”

Summary
At the words, George glances up, wide eyed and open mouthed, and Brian thinks if Paul’s got the soft look of a deer, George has the knock-kneed one of a foal. All elbows and eyelashes – some fresh born thing still wet behind the ears and uncertain how its limbs work. It had surprised him when they’d met – so taken perhaps by the joint-front of John’s wit and confidence and Paul’s charm and maturity – to find this scrappy little thing behind them, but it’d been impossible to deny his skill with the guitar, just as it’d been impossible to deny John and Paul’s shared and individual affection for him (something he could certainly not say about poor Pete).

1962. Brian detours while driving George home, and things come to a head. Loosely based on the story from Bob Spitz' biography.
