best fic ever!!! all of my favourite tropes in one (except for watching people creepily, but Tyler gets a pass just this once). and oh my god the little scroll bar at the edge got closer and closer to the end and then wtf happens to Tyler at the end?? mf dies??? holy moly

heard of the 'forest fic' but never really knew what it was till I found it. it is very beautiful. at first I thought the entire thing was a daydream (see: describing feelings in colours or with specific objects). I thought Josh wasn't real too, but he was so specific about the blue-black feeling he felt, and then him showing up at the end was very surprising. Why the lighter I have no clue. Very sad what happened to Tyler.

“Well why don’t you just waterbend heal me? Swish swash, two minutes, all better!” he proposes.
“Sokka, I just told you we can’t rush this. Do you want me to mess up your head?”
“Well you’ve never had any problem hitting me in the head with water before now!"
After waking up from a training accident with no memory of the past seven years, Sokka is desperate for answers. But any wrongly triggered memory could risk permanent brain injury. Which is rude. She's still trying not to think about him. She's been trying not to think about the way he had cradled her face earlier when he saved her from the wreckage in Manhattan; like she was something precious.
