“Jesus fuck,” Jisung tumbles through the window, landing on his ass and banging his head against the wall.
It's a painfully familiar routine. “Mask off,” Minho sighs, adjusting the lamp light to get a good look.
Jisung makes a pained noise as he pulls it off, wincing.
He doesn’t look too bad tonight. His cheekbone is a little bruised, his lip split. Sweat makes his hair stick to his forehead, and Minho loves him in awful ways.
“I hate this,” He crouches down to hold the ice pack to Jisung’s purpling skin.
Big, soft eyes blink back. “I know,” Jisung whispers.

'At first, he doesn’t register what Andrew’s looking at - just the constant motion of Eden’s swallowing people whole. Then he sees them. Jean and Kevin, off to the side, not quite dancing, not quite still either.
“Huh,” Neil breathes.
Andrew’s expression shifts, tightening in what looks like annoyance. “They’re getting close,” he says, devoid of any emotion Neil could name.
Neil nods slowly, eyes still on the pair. He’s definitely going to have to tease Jean about his crush when they get home. He leans back in his chair, crossing his arms loosely. “I’ll ask Jean about it later.”
Andrew’s gaze snaps back to him. There’s a faint crease between his brows now. “You don’t seem bothered by it,” he points out.
Neil frowns. “I’m not,” he says honestly.
There’s a beat of silence, and Neil wonders if he’s said the wrong thing. Andrew’s expression smooths into something unreadable, but not before Neil catches the way his jaw clenches. His gaze flicks back to Jean and Kevin one more time, then returns to Neil. “Right,” Andrew says.'
OR
Andrew is under the impression Neil and Jean are still dating. Neil, naturally, does not realize this.

Summary
Hyunjin was a painter, but before that he was the son of a socialite couple. As much as he hated these expensive events, he had to make an appearance. If he embarrassed his parents again, he would regret it. There was one solace to being forced to attend this gala - he would be able to see Chan. His muse. The person who inspired his art more than anything else in the world.
The only problem is... Chan hated him.
When Hyunjin meets someone new, he thinks the gala might not have been a total bust after all. It's only when he's hiding in the closet, bloodied and crying, that he reaches out to the one person who was most likely to leave him there, alone and scared.
