“Sorry, darling, who did you say is looking for me?”
“She didn't say her name,” Kuina says with a shrug. “But she's really pretty. She's got pink hair, and her eyebrows look like yours.”
All activity in the kitchen freezes. Sanji takes a deep breath, hitches a smile back on, and says, “All right, I'll go see what she wants. Hey, do you want to help Patty decorate cookies?”
“I have to finish my math problems,” Kuina says, but she looks longingly over to Patty’s station.
“No, come on, you deserve a break,” Sanji says, placing a hand on her back and steering her towards Patty, who’s already grabbing the step stool for her. “Just… stay in the kitchen for a while, okay?”
Sanji's been trying to take care of Reiju since he was a teenager. It's a little more complicated now.
