Summary
This is stupid. This is so stupid. At best, I’m going to get an automated message telling me the number is no longer in service. At worst, some stranger is going to answer and I’m going to have to hang up like a coward and lie to myself about why I did this. The phone rings once. Twice.
“Hello?”
Or, a dead line keeps connecting, and Mafuyu has to learn how to hang up.
This work takes the characters from Given and sticks them into the plot of You've Reached Sam by Dustin Thao. Sort of. I took several creative liberties.

Ness let out a laugh. “You really haven’t done this before, huh?”
“Yeah? And you have? You reek of virgin.”
Ness giggled, not denying Kaiser’s accusations. “You can fuck me next time, you know? I don’t mind going all the way if it’s with you.”
“All the way? What are you, a girl?” huffed Kaiser. “Anyway, did Noel tell you about the Japanese training camp?”
“Huh? Yeah. He asked me if I wanted to go, but I didn’t want to leave your side.”
“Well, I’m going so you better come.”
“O-oh. Yeah, I’ll go, then. He didn’t mention you were gonna go. I mean, Japanese football has never been that strong.”
“Something is going on over there, and I want to know what it is. Noel showed me clips and there’s this guy… Yoichi something or other. Three months ago, he was losing his high school games, and now he’s outperforming their entire U-20 team. This guy is a fucking lunatic. I want to know how he did it, and then I want to chew him up and spit him out.”
