Summary
“I always hoped I’d meet a cute guy in the grocery store.”
Sam can’t help but burst out laughing. James Buchanan Barnes of this universe is flirting with him in such a dorky manner that he just can’t believe this is real.
A heavy flush creeps up to Steve’s face as he joins in on the laughter sheepishly. “What? Was it – Sorry, that was dumb, huh?”
Sam shakes his head, his hand finding the handle of his cart. “No, man, sorry,” he lets out, grinning ear to ear. “It’s not dumb. It was cute."
Steve raises his brows, smiling. “Cute?”
Sam's smile doesn't falter. “Yeah, cute.”
or
Sam falls into Fresh (2022)'s universe and meets Steve Kemp — a man with the same face as his partner and feels a little off (in more ways than one).

Summary
“Well, don’t work too hard, Sam,” Joaquin said, throwing him a wave as he stepped inside. Then right when the doors were almost completely closed, he smirked and said, “Oh yeah, you’ve got a visitor in your office.”
Sam blinked in surprise, but didn’t have time to respond before the doors shut.
“A visitor?” He wondered aloud, on the quick trip up.
But when he caught a glimpse of the time on his watch when he stepped off the elevator, he knew it was really only likely to be one person.
“Steve,” Sam called out, excitedly, before he even had the door completely open. “Made it back in time for lunch after all huh?”
“Nope,” Bucky answered, tone clipped, from his spot on the couch where he was holding a picnic basket. “Looks like you’re stuck with me.”
Or: Bucky and Steve are both trying to surprise Sam on his birthday.Series

Joaquín wasn’t even trying to send Sam a photo, is the thing, but now he’s staring at a picture of his V-line cutting down into very low-hanging shorts that he sent to goddamn Captain America just a few minutes ago.
Three months into being an Avenger and it looks like he’s trying to fuck his team leader.
And listen, listen, it’s not that he’s not trying to fuck Sam. He just planned to be a bit more subtle about it.
OR
Five times Joaquín sends Sam horny pics and one time he shows Sam the goods in person.

Summary
The Winter Soldier is Sam’s mission. Sam chases him, day and night, through different countries, and the hunt turns electric, chaotic. Every move draws them closer, but Barnes slips through his fingers like a ghost.
Or that’s what Sam thinks.
The truth is that Bucky is chasing him, because Sam Wilson isn’t the Winter Soldier’s mission, he’s Bucky Barnes’ obsession.
In this cat and mouse game, the Winter Soldier catches a very pretty bird.
