Summary
It has been decades since the once prosperous world of Eos fell victim to endless night and swarms of demons. Only hunters move between the fragmented remains of civilization. One such hunter is Noctis, the last descendant of the old kings of Lucis. Accompanied by his loyal friend Ignis, they search for their place in the ruined world. Along the way they meet Gladio, the last of the former King’s Shields, and Prompto, a gunslinger who fled conscripted service in Niflheim. Maybe their true place is with each other.

Summary
Ignis Scientia is a successful restaurant owner at thirty three years old, owning three separate high end businesses. Finally, he thinks, he can dedicate some time to more personal endeavors.
Prompto Argentum has gone through four homes in half the time, and he doesn't have much hope for the fifth. It doesn't help that he's now eleven years old, and no one ever wants an older kid, even if they think they do.
Gladiolus Amicitia is thirty four years old, and thinks he's doing pretty good at life. The flower shop he co-owns with his sister is doing well, and—Okay, his adopted kid might be a pain in the ass, but he isn't a criminal, so that counts for something?
Noctis Caelum-Amicitia is eleven years old and so, so tired. If his adopted family wouldn't let him withdraw into a shell of himself, he might as well be the biggest pain in the ass they've ever known.
