Summary
Cullen and Dorian's friendship deepens. Cullen is a romantic. Dorian is literally cold. Cullen is no longer certain what he would consider surprising. Mages and Templars working in perfect cooperation, perhaps. Evil and corruption disappearing into the ground along with the blight, blood magic falling so far out of favor it ceased to be. A united Thedas: that would be a surprise.

Summary
Sasuke is trying to find a reason to stay in the village, or something to soothe the disgusting pit of self-loathing he feels. Sai is trying to help everyone but himself, reflexively going back to living in service even when Danzō is dead. They find each other and promptly choose to attempt to apply the other as a healing balm for wounds. Unfortunately, this doesn't stop time from passing by.

She lay there in stillness, staring blindly into the night, praying still to the Mother for help. She had, at this point, exhausted all most all of her scant resources, but there must be something else, someone she could appeal to, or reach, or bribe… At last, sleep must have overtaken her, because she woke with a start to a knock on the door to announce the arrival of their breakfast. And maybe the gods did have it in them to offer her some small boon after all, because the maid that entered their room was not their usual one, the one who had betrayed them to Mysaria.

Summary
Piers survived the underwater facility, but he doesn't expect his reward to be babysitting Albert Wesker's son on a cross-continental manhunt. With the BSAA stretched thin, the two are paired up for a forced-proximity tracking mission.
It starts with relentless bickering, terrible gas station snacks, and arguing over tactical positioning mid-gunfight. But as the stakes get higher and the danger gets closer, the friction between them shifts from hostile to heated. A bottle of cheap whiskey and a heavy case of denial are about to make an already messy mission a whole lot more complicated.
