Summary
Wille nods and gathers the correct pieces to put the creature together in no time. Simon watches him with wide eyes.
“You’re good at building these,” he says.
Wille’s cheeks turn a little pink at that and he smiles as he stares at the pieces on the table.
Simon grins and squeezes Wille’s hand. The boy is cool and has already shown Simon some neat tricks with the bricks. He’s so excited to finally have someone who understands why legos are the best.
Or: three times Simon builds a lego set and one time he watches someone else do it.

Summary
When Simon was thirteen, he found out their sun was dying.
He only understood what that meant a lot later and by the time it happened, it was almost too late.
When the first mission to save the sun and Simon’s planet fails, he finds himself on board a spaceship with a crew he has nothing in common with. And as if that wasn’t enough, the fate of the first mission haunts one of the crew members more than he’s maybe willing to admit.
As the journey takes them closer to the sun, Simon is eventually faced with something that could derail all the carefully made plans to save his planet…

Fuck it, Wille thinks. After more than a week of unbearably hot temperatures he has become someone who is desperate enough to do things he wouldn't even have been able to imagine doing before to get some sleep.
Or, Wille seeks refuge from the heat in an unconventional place. So does Simon.

Somehow, all that now brings them to cross-stitching. Given his previous attempts with handicrafts, Wille is not at all convinced. He might be halfway to drifting off, but even in his half-unconscious state he is pretty certain it won’t be his thing.
“What if I came with you this time?” Simon asks, his head coming to rest on Wille’s chest, his finger idly drawing patterns over his side. “It sounds fun.”
Wille sighs. “If it makes you happy…”
Simon raises his head, smiling so brightly at Wille the look on his face rivals the light of the bedside table lamp. “It does.”

Summary
Simon is starting to think this challenge might have been a mistake. Not because he’s not having fun, because he is. Everyone he’s come across on his pin trading journeys has been sweet, more than eager to make his collection more diverse.
No, the reason he’s starting to think the challenge might have been a mistake is because of how good Wille is at it, much better than Simon ever expected. So yes, while Simon is having a lot of fun meeting people and picking up new pins, he is starting to think this challenge might have been a mistake, because it’s becoming glaringly obvious that he is going to lose it.

Trading pins at the Olympics is a big deal. When Simon challenges Wille to a little game of who can get the coolest pin, he has no idea how it's going to end.

If someone had told him he’d become addicted to watching a 24/7 stream of puppies and their mother, Wilhelm would have laughed. Yet here he is. More and more often he opens the stream, mostly to check up on the cute little things. But a part of him checks the stream in hopes of catching who he presumes is the owner. Hopes that he might get to hear the man hum, or even sing, again. Might get to see more than just gentle hands and feet.
Or, Wilhelm ends up falling in love with a puppy he sees on a live stream. The more he talks to the owner, the more Wilhelm starts to feel something for him too. And chances are the feeling is mutual.

Summary
Wilhelm has always known that one day he has to let Simon go. That no matter how much he loves his best friend, no matter how much he wishes he could keep Simon in his life forever, a day would come when they'd have to say goodbye. Wilhelm just never thought the day would come so soon. He always hoped it would happen when they're both old and wrinkly, decades from now, when they'd lived a good life together, even if it seemed unlikely.
But as he stands on the edge of the cliff, the waves gently breaking against the rocks, Wilhelm knows it was inevitable. That everything that has happened in the past year has led them to this. To him having to say goodbye to Simon.

Summary
What would be better than a warm summer night and cheering for your national team playing at the European Championships? Except maybe getting to do it with the cute stranger you set your eyes on earlier.
As Wille comes to learn, a lot can happen in 90 minutes (plus extra time and penalties) when said cute stranger needs some emotional support to deal with the stress of the match.
Or, Wilmon flirting through a football match. Yes, even the penalty shoot-out.

Summary
The first time Wille says he’s done is one of those late August mornings when it’s still warm enough to have breakfast on the patio. He might always remember the look of shock and disbelief the words put on Simon’s face, the way he very carefully sets his cup of coffee down on the table, conscious of the fact that if he moves too fast the table would tip on the slightly uneven floor.
”I’m sorry, what?” Simon asks, blinking as if it would help him understand better what he’s just heard.
”I said, I think I’m done,” Wille repeats. He reaches for Simon’s hand, intertwining their fingers. ”I miss you, both of you, and I hate how much I’m missing when I’m away from home.”
Slowly understanding dawns on Simon’s face. ”You still have a year left on your contract.”
”I can get out of it. I don’t really see a reason to continue when there’s nothing for me to win anymore. I don’t… really love it that much.”

“Would you try it?”
Wille frowns, because he’s not quite sure what Simon is referring to. “Try what?”
“Living all the lives you could’ve had. If you had the chance,” Simon clarifies, his eyes studying Wille’s face with interest but something else as well. Something Wille can’t quite put a name on, despite all the years they’ve spent together.
He looks at the book in his hand, the open books and the small cat on the cover. Would he?

Simon waits for her to explain further, but she just looks at him. The silence stretches uncomfortably. “What exactly is it that you’d like me to do?”
“Set an example. Help him see how those elements affect the score, make him understand that he’s giving away points that we cannot afford to lose. Tell him what he needs to do to get the necessary levels.”
It’s as if Kristina is ticking off items on a list, the request sounding a lot more like an order than Simon would like it to.
“I’m not a coach though. I don’t have much experience with doing something like that,” Simon explains. Kristina’s gaze dips down to where his fingers are nervously playing with the sleeves of his hoodie. Simon balls his hands and pulls his shoulders back a bit.
“You are good,” Kristina simply states in response.

Simon Eriksson has been skating nearly all his life and has a dream. To make that dream come true, he agrees to help Wilhelm with his skating. Little does Simon know that in doing so, he's getting more than he bargained for.

Summary
Wille leans closer to Simon to speak right into his ear. “You don’t need to bend over backwards just because August is getting on everyone’s nerves and can’t sit still for ten fucking minutes.”
Wille’s breath on his face is warm and smells like canned tropical fruits. Simon suppresses the shiver that runs down his spine.
“You know, that’s quite literally what I have to do if I want to win,” Simon tells him. Their faces are so close and Simon can’t help the way his gaze dips downwards before he fixes his eyes back on Wille’s. On the hazel eyes that are once again staring at him.
Wille smiles, a small smirk playing on his lips. “I like you,” he says and how the hell is Simon supposed to respond to that?

“A couple of photos together before the rest of the team comes in too. Wille, here, could you hold this up with Simon,” the photographer asks, handing Wille one of the royal blue jerseys the team wears. Lifting up the shirt and handing it for Simon to hold he sees the ‘Eriksson 10’ printed on the back.
“Did they actually ask you which number you want or…” Wille asks Simon, in Swedish then, the first question of the night that isn’t at least partially scripted. Looking over he sees the man crack a wide smile and shake his head in a small motion, making sure it’s not noticeable in the photos.
“No, though I’m sure someone in my team was asked about it and they just said pick whichever number you want,” he answers.
