Millennia have passed and many a thing has changed — including the fact that Zag is, finally, not tied to the Underworld as he used to. He makes the most of it by enjoying life on the surface to the fullest. Life is great, if a little uneventful... that is, until he gets a message from a stranger claiming to be a reaper after his soul. His mortal soul, which, he is not in possession of.
It's probably some scam but, well. He hasn't had this much fun in a while, and the stranger is really beautiful, okay.
(It doesn't hurt that he reminds him a little of another silver haired embodiment of Death, either.)He'll just play along and see where this goes.

Varka huffed, smiling against Capitano’s lips.
“Kiss me fully, you glorious bastard.” He whispered, thumbs running across Capitano’s scarred cheeks. “Kiss me like you mean it.”
“Challenge accepted.”
Colors exploded behind Capitano’s eyes as he finally kissed his soulmate- no, Varka. His love. It was warm, Varka’s beard scratching against his skin, calluses stroking over darkened skin as he drew Capitano in so close that their chests touched.
How had he ever doubted this man before?
TL;DR: Varka and Capitano are soulmates. This goes about as well as one would expect.

“I mourn for a finishing chapter.” Kaveh didn’t even bother spinning the glass as he knocked it back.
“Oh? A project?” The man's interest seemed to peak at Kavehs pathetic whine.
“I suppose you could say it was a personal one. In a way.”
“And it has pulled out this reaction from you? It must be a grand project. Comparable to the palace of Alcazarzaray?” The man's use of his magnum opus was almost comical to Kaveh. Al Haitham would fume if he knew feelings for him were being compared to a mere building.
“Oh Mr. Kaveh. I'm glad to share the news that there will be no need to put that masterpiece in storage. Why don't we go to my place for a quick chat.” Kaveh didn't hear what the man was saying as he faded slightly from consciousness.~
After an appearance of a familiar face and a bottle of strange wine to ease a broken heart, Kaveh finds himself in a dark dingy room, chains a heavy restraint. An old enemy threatens his heart and rips away his future. all for something that he cannot truly give. Faced with limited time left he wrestles with things he holds in high priority while he clings to the few things he has left. Is there any way out of this seemingly endless night under a starless sky?
