“If Colm wasn’t alive,” Arthur finally said, voice gone distant, “what would you want?”
“Breakfast." I smiled because it hurt less than telling the truth.
“After breakfast?"
“Clean hands that still know what to do,” I said, and the second smile surprised me more than the first. “A horse that likes me more than not. A little time where the only thing that needs killin’ is silence. No one callin’ me Miss anything.”
He nodded like he’d been handed a map that didn’t promise roads. “I could stand that."
“And you? If Dutch’s ‘one last score’ didn’t end with all of us in holes or heatstroke?”
“Quiet… a river with fish that ain’t clever. A place where a man can come inside without lookin’ over one shoulder and then the other. No parades. No letters.” He didn’t look at me when he said that, and I didn’t make him.
“You there, if you want,” he added, so bare it almost weren't words.
“I ain’t pretty company, Arthur."
“I ain’t either,” he breathed. “We’ll make an ugly peace.”

Summary
Arthur is an odd-man, harsh to men yet kind to deer. Most, much more feeble, men could not handle such dichotomy in their personality.
Which means that when everyone happens to run into Arthur out in the world, they all have very different and contradicting stories of their fearsome protector. Eventually they confront the man and learn there’s more to all of them, from the maidens to poets, outlaws to kings, than one may have thought.
That perhaps even the most simple among them is wonderfully complex… and loving.
Or: Arthur likes to help strangers AND likes to rob trains. The gang discusses.

Summary
After the collapse of Umbrella and Wesker's presumed death in the Kijuju volcano, the world never recovered. The T-virus, the Uroboros strain, and dozens of other bio-weapons have torn through nations. Cities lie in ruins. The BSAA struggles to keep civilization from collapsing completely.
PS (so no one accuse me of writing Al-generated stories): The only thing I really use is Google Translate when I can't remember a word in English from my native language — and even then, just occasionally. A few times I might use ChatGPT to help rewrite my thoughts into proper English, mostly to fix the word order or phrasing so it actually makes sense. But the writing and the story itself are all mine, except for the characters - they belong to Capcom.
