Summary
After that scene where Joshi sits in K's apartment, drinking his liquor. Because I felt low-key horrified for him by the part where she propositions him. And though, in the movie she takes the high road, in the scene, there's that pause after he turns her down, where you can see her thinking about it, trying to decide her next move.
This is a take on what could've happened if it'd played out a little differently.

Summary
Robby meets Jack on his first day of medical school, when he's twenty-four and standing in the doorway of their shared room at Pitt with a duffel bag on his shoulder and a cardboard box in his arms. His university-assigned roommate Jack Abbot, who their professors call by his legal name John, who his friends and the girls he flirts with call Abbot, and who Robby has only ever called Jack.

Bookmarker's Notes
He's a little abrasive, a little standoffish, and he doesn't know why, exactly, because he's lonely. He's always been lonely, for so long that it feels like an inalienable fact. And Jack isn't. He moves through the world with an unfathomable degree of ease, and Robby should hate him for it, but he doesn't. Would like to be him, maybe. The hunger of desire, unsure what he wants more; to touch Jack or to crawl inside him.
