It was a rumor. Or something like that.
Gossip of a cursed video, one that after watching, you'd be marked with the fate of dying seven days later.
In Izu, that's where Utahime said they'd watched it, on a spontaneous trip, where they'd all holed up in a cozy little cabin—all without Satoru. “We are not postponing our vacation just because you suddenly have a business trip.” She had told him over the phone; it was hardly a vacation, he thought, two days wouldn't be nearly long enough for him.
Well, nobody had died yet. Then again, it'd only been five days since they allegedly watched this cursed tape.
And as previously mentioned—it’s only a rumor. Probably.
He’d left it at that, without a second thought or any particularly strong concerns.
Then, two days later, he gets the call.
Or,
Satoru's friends die after watching a cursed tape and he goes on a mission to stop it from happening again.

Summary
After the first time, Nanami expects it might be somewhat difficult to probe his friend into doing it again. Sure, Haibara was agreeable in the midst of it when his brain was full of happy chemicals and white noise, but a clearheaded version of him might not be so easy to convince.
At least, that's what Nanami thought.
Oh, how wrong he was.
A mere week later, Haibara is coming to him like an obedient pup returning to its owner, tail between his legs as he shyly tells him, "I've been feeling kinda sore today…"
"And what would you like me to do about that?"
Haibara is so cute, fidgeting with his hands as he murmurs, "Could you—y'know, like last time…"

Nanami follows through with his promise of a thorough massage.

Summary
working late tonite, don't wait up for me :p
Nanami reads the message with the same apathetic acceptance as always. He knows Gojo isn't working late, and seeing as he’s stopped trying to come up with new excuses, always falling back on the same old overtime card, Gojo probably knows his secret has already been discovered.
He knows one day Gojo will eventually confess it all and break off their relationship. But he's content to wait.
Though, every time this happens, and Nanami is forced to return to an empty home and sleep alone in a cold bed, he's worn down more and more.
It's that message that finally changes things. That same message, one just like countless others he’d received over the year or so this has been going on.
If Gojo is allowed to spend his nights with someone else, then why can't Nanami?

The content bubble Haibara had been floating in pops instantly with those words, "Huh? Th-the front?"
"Mhm, it's best to do both sides and get all the tension out."
"Uh, no, that's okay, I already feel better, so you don't—" He rambles anxiously until Nanami cuts him off.
"Nonsense. Flip over, Yu."
He hesitates for a long while, clearly trying to come up with some excuse as to why he doesn't need it, but—eventually he folds. Slowly, he turns over and Nanami is practically vibrating with satisfaction as he lays his eyes on the tent in Haibara's sweatpants.

Nanami gives Haibara a massage with very ulterior motives.

Leorio’s breath hitches. “Are you drunk or something?”
“No, I’m…” Hisoka holds a finger to his lips and winks. Kurapika closes his eyes. “I’m in bed.”
Leorio doesn’t say anything for a long moment. The phone screen is still lit up, the call time ticking higher second by reliable second. Kurapika holds his breath and waits.
Finally, Leorio says, voice strained, “Kurapika… are you…”
“Yes,” Kurapika says. “Should I hang up?”

Megumi looks at him from under the brim of his hat. Keeps his voice mild, pleasant, almost puzzled by himself. “My husband is away so much, for work. It gets lonely.”
A beat.
Yuuji’s eyebrows travel slowly upward.
Megumi holds his gaze, inviting him to catch up. Somewhere in the villa a shutter is seesawing in the breeze, a soft periodic knock. A bee considers the sprawling bougainvillea, decides against it.
He watches the moment his husband clocks it—the thing that passes behind his eyes, quick and bright, followed immediately by the determined repositioning of his features into an approximation of someone else. It is laughable, of course, that this body could ever be a stranger to Megumi.
The skimmer comes to rest against the pool’s edge.
“That so, ma’am?”
