Summary
While Ilya was in the CT, Trinity had found a video of him getting checked. As gruesome a scene as it was, what stuck with her was the way Hollander had hovered. Cliff Marleau, a former teammate of Ilya’s from the Raiders, was unsurprisingly the first to his side after decking the Tampa defenseman, but Hollander was hot on his heels. She assumed that their allegiance for the sake of All-Stars would allow for some visible concern. Hollander was more than concerned.
Trinity Santos is deeply bitter about missing the Pittsburgh-hosted MLH All-Stars Game until Ilya Rozanov is checked hard enough to land on PTMC's doorstep. In treating her longtime idol, she catches on to hockey's best kept secret.

She's happy about this. And then. She still has to be a princess. It still sucks.
(Or, in which I clean up the Princess Diaries books to A) Include a film-only character I really like, and B) Make a series about a girl finding out she's a princess actually be about that girl having to be a princess, instead of solely how it effects her social/love life.)

absolutely brilliant. an incredible expansion of Adolescence Of Utena that mixes fairytale aesthetics with sci-fi glory and makes the bones of The Matrix the sword of its genre deconstruction. srsly impeccable character work (particularly Anthy—literally some of the best characterization i’ve seen written, in both fanfic and literature), a romance all about that yearning, taking down the patriarchy with swords and a car race; truly iconic.
