Summary
People had heard stories of their grandeur and of the contributions they had made to society with their inhuman abilities and skills. But the way vampires had evolved had limited their food intake considerably, for only very specific blood types and heritage combinations were palatable to them now, and they had been largely eradicated.
Now, with permission, they were seeking the blood of those who could sustain them.
