    Under the hot Texas sun, it had been the seashells he dissolved into salt water. In that volcano, it had been the very steam in the air and molten rock. In the Underworld it had been the clawing grasp of the Styx when he fought Iapetus. In the Pit, it had been the poisons and the entirety of the Rivers of the Underworld.

    Annabeth had told him to never use the powers again, but there was no other choice. For as powerful as Jason and Leo were, it didn’t matter in the face of a primordial.

    Percy rose to Godhood of his own volition without any intervention of the gods. And in the moments between his last thought as a mortal and the first breath as he took as a god, he had to define why he did it.

    "she told me to say: percy, you are so fucked."

    Percy Jackson has survived a lot in the last few years. He should finally be able to take a break, but the Gods never let that happen. Only, the thing is, this time it isn't the Gods from his world that are trying to get to him - instead, they're from a world where they can no longer have children, and they desperately want them. It's weird, being actively sought out by Gods who (for once) don't mean harm, but their interest in his life is even weirder. Especially when he has to confront it himself.

    OR: percy is taken by gods from a universe where they can't have demigods, and the magic used to find him also creates a set of books about his life - and each time one of the living demigods are mentioned, they, too, are summoned to meet their alternative parents. (although not every one of them turns up.) they've been planning to find them for a while, and now, they aren't willing to let them go. (he'll figure something out. hopefully.)

    Percy Jackson wakes up from a dream he already lived through.

    The monsters are still coming. Camp Half-Blood still stands. His family, his friends, and the people he lost are all still alive — and none of them know how close they came to losing everything.
