Summary
Reo reads and rereads the letter until he's committed it to memory. There's something giddy bubbling to life under his skin. He turns to Nagi. "It's another love letter! Another one!" Reo tells him, shaking him insistently by the shoulder.
Nagi doesn't look up from his phone. "Wow," he says.
Reo elbows him. He flattens the letter out against his thigh, under the sunlight, so he can admire it for a little longer. He adds, "It's not signed. I wonder who it's from."
"Yeah," Nagi sighs. "I wonder."

Here was the thing everyone who knew Seishiro, had assumed pretty reasonably that he would be the passive parent.
That Reo would handle everything while Seishiro napped somewhere nearby, this was a fair assumption.
But the moment Seishiro had held his daughter in the hospital room watching her tiny fragile fingers curl around his thumb a switch had flipped inside his brain.
The man who historically hated exerting any form of effort had suddenly become a hyper vigilant girl dad.

Nagi sits up. The blankets slip down and pool around his waist. He reaches over, fingers outstretched, and takes Reo's face in his hands. "Reo," he sighs, and it's the fondest Reo's ever heard anyone say his name before. Then, without much warning at all, Nagi leans in and kisses him on the mouth.
Reo's still a little too sleepy, too slow to react. His hands twitch under the covers, but before he gets the chance to react, Nagi's pulling away to press another kiss to his cheek. "Hold on," Reo says. "Wait a second—do we know each other?"
Nagi sits back, just far enough to look Reo in the eyes, wholly unimpressed. "I'm your boyfriend," Nagi tells him, as if it's obvious.
