Summary
"You," Chuuya says, inhaling in a manner not unlike a rapidly heating kettle, "are the most infuriating guy I've ever met in my entire life." Dazai literally made the plan himself, how hard could it be to actually follow it? Successful mission or not, now Chuuya's shoes are soaked in a lot more blood than necessary, and he's seventy-percent sure that Dazai's new sprained wrist was completely avoidable.
Dazai grins at him, swinging his legs from where the executive is perched on top of the balcony railing, and chirps, "not a guy!"
(or, four times that Dazai comes out, and one time they didn't really need to at all.)

“I’m not mad,” Ranpo said, firm.
Dazai looked away. His vision blurred, just a little, enough that he had to blink hard to clear it. The exhaustion had reached that dangerous point where his body was starting to shut down functions it deemed nonessential—posture, composure, dignity.
“Then why does it feel like I’m failing a test?” he muttered.
Ranpo’s mouth twitched. “Because you think being hurt is something you have to justify.”
or: Dazai limps through the city on momentum alone, hoping to collapse without being examined. Ranpo lets him try.

Summary
Adrien has mastered the art of the smile. Even while his mind is on poor behavior, when he's caught beneath a barrage of unkind thoughts to himself, he's still able to keep his smile. Attend his friends' parties, maintain small talk, get through the day — and hopefully his friends won't realize how messed up he really is.
Everyone is out-pacing him. While he's barely getting out of bed in the morning, his friends are making waves, changing lives, getting engaged.
He can't even get his girlfriend to text him back.
So, sure. Maybe he's not in the best head space right now — but 'suicidal'? Ladybug's certainly just reading too deeply into things. But if her concern for Chat Noir's mental state is enough to get her reaching out, well, he won't turn down the opportunity to chat with a friend. Besides, Ladybug seems to be having a rough go of it, too. Maybe they can help each other out.
(a Ladynoir hurt/comfort texting fic, with established Adrienette)

Summary
Now it’s Félix’s turn. Adrien needs to know about his own existence before anything else and Félix wanted to have that conversation himself. Marinette didn’t argue when he told her as much. If anything, she seemed slightly relieved.
Félix has been meaning to do it for a long time. Adrien had been at risk if he said anything before, not to mention it felt cruel to tell him when he would still have to bend to his father’s orders until the rings were retrieved. But Adrien wears his own amoks now, making his own choices with no one forcing him to do any of it.
All physical risks are out of the way. Félix only needs to break it to him.
The problem is that it never seems to actually be the right moment.
(Or Post Season 5, Félix finally has the chance to tell Adrien about both of them being sentibeings and their family history. He’s not quite sure why his words keep failing him whenever he tries though.)

Summary
Adrien smiles as he eats breakfast with Nathalie, smiles as he walks through the halls of his new lycée, smiles as people stop him on the street and tell him time and time again what a "hero" his father was.
(Adrien wishes he could've been a hero, too. He should've been. Maybe then his father would still be alive.)
(But he's surviving. Everyone may be treating him as though he were made of glass, but he can still go through the motions, he can prove them wrong, he can still smile.)
“And you’re… happy,” Marinette spoke carefully, a nervous tilt to her voice, “... right?”
(Adrien has some things to find out.)
