Watching curves and lines of lead and paint begin as abstract, shapeless marks on a page or canvas and slowly begin to take shape and become a nameable thing had always been therapeutic to Jimin.
The ability to take something that was in your mind and etch it into a picture that was recognisable felt like fluency in another language. A one-sided gift that could explain the depths of yourself to your loved ones without the complication of words or tone.
As Jimin tried to separate the lines of the body he sketched on the paper in front of him from the person he had spent the last four months trying to forget, he realised that those strokes of lead or paint could carve wounds into your heart the same way sharp words or bitter silence could.
