Summary
Voldemort is defeated. Led into a trap at Godric's Hollow by Peter Pettigrew and the Order of the Phoenix. Not all goes to plan though, as Lily Potter isn't able to get the twins, Daisy and Harry, to safety before the Dark Lord appears. But somehow he is defeated. The full story of how never shared.
Albus Dumbledore and the Potters know the prophecy has not yet been fulfilled. They spend the next ten years savouring every second with their son, knowing one day he will have to face the Dark Lord again.
All the while, remaining unaware that on that same night the Dark Lord was vanquished their daughter's name appears in tight, neat letter in front of a prophecy far older than them in the depths of the Ministry of Magic.
