Summary
Alec has been in the clutches of the Valentine Pack for a few years now. He doesn't realize how long it has been until he is saved by a new pack where he is allowed to be someone rather than a punching bag for the Alphas and Betas to do with what they please. Summary
A thought intrudes, that maybe Magnus is more distant from his husband’s Institute than is ideal. Institutes are usually run by a pair of married Shadowhunters —as even Magnus knows— and while obviously he couldn’t (and wouldn’t want to) be recognized by the Clave or Council in any official manner, it’s possible there are ways he could help, could be here for Alec regardless?
Magnus observes Alec training his people, and while he's mostly there to enjoy the view, he can't help but wonder if maybe they still need to work on that balance between them a little, knowing how much of their work can be shared, and how much of it they should.
