Summary
“Do you actually have a place to live?”
Dennis has never been a good liar, and Jack Abbot’s unrelenting stare might as well be a polygraph test.
“I’m currently between places,” he admits.
Abbot works his jaw, head tilting to the side as he continues to assess Dennis like he’s a patient in his ED.
“Do you own a car?” He asks, his voice sounding softer to Dennis but maybe it's just dampened by the sound of his own pulse in his ears.
“Not at the moment, no, I’m actually-”
“Between cars?” Abbot finishes for him.
Shame pushes Dennis’s head down. “Yeah, something like that.”
Abbot continues to stare at him -does this guy ever blink?- before he sighs and shakes his head.
"Alright, pack your shit," He orders, clearly having heard enough.

Jack discovers Dennis instead of Trinity. Behind closed doors, neither of them is really holding it together, and an unlikely support system is formed.

When Daniel trails through the scattered pages back to Armand, once again ten million dollars richer, the vampire is already standing up and brushing dust from his clothes. “I want to watch Breaking Dawn - Part 2,” he tells Daniel.
“Uh.” Daniel must have set off something strange in this loop. “Ever heard of Groundhog Day?” he hedges. “Also, unrelated question: Does today feel strangely familiar?”
Armand’s jaw twitches. “The only familiarity of today, Mr. Molloy,” he says snippily, “is that incessant inability of yours to do your job and listen.”
“Jesus,” Daniel says. “Forget it, then.”
“I want to watch Breaking Dawn - Part 2,” Armand repeats.
Daniel is trapped in a time loop. Armand seems irrelevant to it, until he isn't.

'Armand snatches Daniel’s laptop before he can hand it over and, inhumanely fast, types in Daniel’s password. “Hey,” Daniel protests weakly, then says it again when Armand pulls up a sketchy pirate streaming site, and a million ads populate the screen. He watches as Armand, enthralled, begins to click them one by one.
“You’ve just given me twenty viruses.” His poor laptop has lived a life worse than he has at this point.
“You’ve won a free iPhone,” Armand replies, orange eyes going wide, and it’s easy, Daniel thinks, to teeter and fall into his jaws, just like that.'
