Summary
The fragile relationship between Sherlock and William unexpectedly falls apart, taking them with it.
William pressed his face into the fragrant dark curls, burying his nose so deeply against Sherlock’s head that he could scarcely breathe. In that moment, he would have gladly drowned in it, if only to feel him and himself real for a little while. He wrapped his arms around Sherlock, with every heartbeat convinced that he would push him away, yet in the end, after a minute, he was still able to forget this.
“What is wrong?” Sherlock did not try to look at him, he was content to take hold of one of William’s arms wrapped around him. His fingers curled around his bare arm, his thumb brushing over a faint scratch in the crook of William’s elbow.
“I would tell you if I knew, but I’m incapable of thinking.”
