Stephanie has never thought, and will never think, of Damian as her child. He’s a child, sure. Bruce’s child, Dick’s child, Talia’s child. But not hers.
He’s her little asshole younger brother. But sometimes when she sits beside him— like now under the soft light of the sun shining through the curtain in the Manor’s library as she watches him write a letter to send to his mother— she feels a deep, almost indescribable emotion well up inside her.
Not for him, but for Talia.
Or, Damian and Stephanie sit together in the Manor’s library, two opposite halves of similar pictures.

Summary
It is no secret that every Robin before him had been kicked out of their position, most of the time forcefully. From Jason's untimely removal to Tim becoming Red Robin for Damian to take the mantle, he knows better than anyone else how the story goes.
It's only ironic that he would be the first to break this cycle.
TLDR; Damian's journey to growing up, acceptance, and learning what it means to be a hero.
In other words, a What-If Scenario in which Damian becomes a doctor.

She didn’t do it to fix his appearance, to alter it to standard, no, no she had an ulterior motive, a cruel idea of affection, of love. She wanted to love her son, how he needed. She wanted to love her son how she thought Bruce would love him, how his other children would love him, but she was Talia Al Ghul, and there was no such thing as affection in a household built on the blood of their own.
