Summary
"I know," Lando said, reaching up to cup Oscar's jaw, his thumb tracing the sharp line of his cheekbone, feeling the tension coiled beneath the skin. "I just wanted to make you feel good. Take your mind off everything. We have the whole summer break—we could just let go. No limits, no rules. Just us."
Oscar's eyes narrowed, calculating, searching Lando's face for something. "What exactly are you suggesting?"

Soulmarks are meant to help you find the one—little symbols that show up at eighteen and change colour based on your soulmate’s emotions. Yellow means they’re happy. Blue means they’re sad. Dark gray means they’re probably not feeling anything at all.
Oscar’s mark doesn’t do that. He has Sentisoma Syndrome—his soulmark glows white and crushes his ribs every time his soulmate so much as thinks about him.
Meanwhile, Lando’s mark has no time for normal emotions. Just admiration. Longing. And unfortunately, more sexual desire than he knows what to do with.
They’re teammates.
It’s going great.
Except for Oscar’s lungs. -

But before Max leaves them all in the dust, it’s Daniel’s turn. It has to be. Christian doesn’t get to decide that it isn’t. Because Daniel has given his all to this team, and he has waded through shit for this team, and this – retirement after fucking retirement – cannot be the end of the road. He deserves – no. He has earned it; to be there when this shitbox of a car finally improves and the gap to Mercedes closes.
So despite a voice in the back of his mind saying, get out while you still can, dipshit –
Daniel is staying at Red Bull.
