Summary
Bruce remembered the call, the same call that now had him sitting in a room with a police officer and a social worker.
"I'm certain you know why you are here, Mr. Wayne".
He did, yet he still wasn't fully prepared for the news he was about to receive, the details of the case, the Black Cross incident.
"Unfortunately, most of the children didn't make it. Twelve of them had passed either on-site or at the hospital from their injuries. We are yet to get this information to the public. However, it's necessary we tell you this".
"Most of the children?", Bruce began to feel a bit hopeful from the insinuation of that sentence.
The Policeman nodded and handed a small paper to Bruce, "Yes, one of the children survived".

A case Bruce has been following for years is finally cracked open with an unfortunate end, but there is one light at the end of it all. Timothy Drake, one of the only few survivors of the incident, Bruce now had him in his life after all the pain he's been through, and he's not going to give up on him.
(I'm not proofreading yet so there might be a number of grammatical errors lol)
