    Summary

Chuuya asks Dazai out on a traditional date. Dazai struggles with the concept. Then he just struggles.

Chuuya runs his thumb against Dazai’s lips, drags at the bottom one. Dazai winces at the sting when he rubs the bite mark he made. His eyes half close, brilliant blue shuttering into something darker, the ember that follows the flame. Dazai tilts his head, nuzzles into Chuuya’s gloved hand, and his partner rocks forward, grinding them together. Then he lets go all together, stepping away, leaving Dazai half-slumped with a rough wall at his back. He blinks, not understanding. No, he does understand. He just doesn’t get it. He wasn’t doing anything wrong.

Sometimes the cowl was a good thing. It shielded Oliver from that piercing, all-knowing gaze. Even when Bruce was being kind, his eyes were always just a little too sharp.

‘Right,’ Tim said, in the voice he used on missions, ‘we’re going to have to call in an expert.’

‘Hey guys!’ Dick said, voice slightly crackly over Tim’s phone speakers. ‘What’s up? I’m not supposed to visit until tomorrow - is something wrong?’

Something is seriously not right with Bruce. They’re a family of detectives and no one can figure it out. It’s kind of embarrassing.

They’re all starting to get worried.
