“Okay, start from the beginning,” Jaemin says again, as he usually does. “Walk me through everything. All that you remember. If you have any leads.”

You’ve said that the last six times, Donghyuck thinks, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. Well, at least he’s consistent.

Today is the 23rd of July. Yesterday was also the 23rd of July. Tomorrow will be the same old wedding day.

Or, Donghyuck dies every time Renjun gets married. Literally.

    Summary

“You bought a cat, Jaemin,” he says. “Why?”
Jaemin grins, slow and steady. His eyes gleam. “I did. She’s just the most adorable little thing, Injunnie. Isn’t she just like milk—?”

    “—you hate milk—”

“—and we’re not really getting any younger, Injun-ah.”

Renjun is aghast. “We’re twenty-five, Jaemin—”

“Jisung’s friend even gave me a discount! And she showed me the photos of her mother and in a few weeks Luna’s grey fur will start to come in—and it’s like practice for when we have a child!”

Alternatively: Five things that change in Jaemin and Renjun's routine when Jaemin adopts a cat. (Plus the temporary change that Jaemin wasn't supposed to find out about).

It’s been sixty days since Jaemin and Donghyuck kissed for the first time. That meant sixty days of Jaemin being over the moon. But then came his worst nightmare, the scent of oranges.

OR: Donghyuck smells different and Jaemin did the only thing he was good in: panic.
