Summary
“You’re really letting Roman take over party planning?” Virgil asked, voice soft and amused. Patton settled at their side, laughing quietly and giving them a gentle nudge. Virgil looked down at him, brown eyes indescribably warm, eyebrows raised. Patton’s smile grew at the sight. God, how he’d missed this. How he’d missed Virgil.

Summary
"After the door clicks shut behind him, Virgil can’t help but wonder— how many more lunches does he have with Janus, really? It has become increasingly clear to Virgil that the number is finite. He doesn’t know whether that excites or terrifies him. He doesn’t know if it means he should cherish the time they are spending together, or if he should just comfort himself with the fact that he won’t have to play this game much longer.
He’s so tired. He knows they won’t be friends after this semester and it feels like a terrible secret to be keeping.
But, today isn’t then and neither is tomorrow. Virgil tries and fails to remind himself that he hasn’t technically made a decision yet. But, he knows he mostly has. He isn’t uncertain because he has any substantial doubts, he just feels guilty. The idea of cutting off Janus, of washing the blood from his hands, makes him feel like a monster and a coward.
He hates that it also feels so, so right. Like it’s the only way he’ll ever be truly free."

Summary
Janus doesn’t try to notice Patton around campus, but they are kind of difficult to ignore. Patton is just the sort of person who it is easy to notice. It became an inside joke with himself, the way Patton's laugh could carry across the corridors or their seemingly constant presence in Janus' peripheral.
Janus would often glimpse his stupid little cat backpack turning a corner (they didn’t have any classes together, but sometimes Patton would be heading into a building as Janus was leaving.) Patton was deeply, profoundly silly. It was amusing to Janus. The witnessing was neutral. It was just nice to have something to smile about— something that was just for him.
There was no obligation or meaning attached to it, Patton was just a strange and entertaining person. They were easy to notice and that was the beginning and end of it.

Summary
"It didn’t matter if what Patton had done wasn’t technically wrong. Sure, his friends didn’t get to tell him who he could and couldn’t sleep with. But, this wasn’t just a random hookup— this was Janus. Virgil was allowed to be upset about it. As much as it killed Patton to admit, they knew that Virgil had every right to be mad at them."
Sequel to my moceit smutfic in which I reveal my ACTUAL fetish-- co-regulating and healthily moving through conflict with people you love. <3

Summary
Janus was a good friend, if being a good friend meant hanging around your ex-best friend and his obnoxiously saccharine motley crew for the sake of Remus and Roman's being on good terms again.
The whole "hooking up with Virgil's crush" thing probably wasn't gonna be earning him any brownie points, though.

Summary
Light wasn't delusional enough to say what they did was “making love.” L always collapsed into the mattress early. His body yielded, limbs folding loosely beneath Light’s. Hands thrown over his abdomen, over the tatami cushions, underneath or between his thighs. The sheets gathered around him in soft disarray, dark hair fanning across the pillow in stringy strands he could sometimes count.
His stillness felt like clouds, as if he were constructed from cloth and thread rather than flesh and bone. A lifeless thing.
Light is his and L is his doll, come to life by his will and his will alone.

Summary
L is all of it. Nights spent wondering about her, days spent dying to defeat her. Dreams of how Light would try to bring L to her knees, make her stripped, raw, honest. Destroy that unyielding resilience, uncontrollable power.
“This,” Light says, gripping her chin so forcefully that someone’s bones might crack under pressure, “Won’t change a thing. I will still always be deciding your fate without your input.”
The darkness in L’s eyes deepens somehow - petroleum spreading in the dark waters.
L never bothered to be anything quieter, anything more obedient than she is. Light just hated all this. Hated her.
L has never bothered to be anything less.
-
Light wins and does not kill her. L still dares pull her into this, this intimacy, clash, night...
Light knew she would enjoy it - victory, fire, power. Her. Her closeness, her touch. How she burns. How she feels.Series

Summary
“Pray with your tongue,” Light hisses, pulling at her hair until she groans. L knows the rules - and the truth of it.
Goddesses don’t get destroyed. When you stand against them, you either die by their hand… Or worship them. Repent and receive your punishment.
And L doesn’t like to be disciplined. She prefers retribution.
L’s eyes are black, still mirrors of Light’s blazing fire, and the unbearable heat draws like a spiral, slowly, pleasantly, in Light’s core. L’s pupils are blown wide, pulsing arousal taking over her usual sharpness. And yet - she shuffles closer.
And prays. So-so well.
-
Light demands that L worship her as a goddess. L is annoyed - and deeply into it.
And delivers.Series

Summary
“Do you find it distracting?” L asked silkily, like Light was some high school boy who couldn’t focus on his homework because of a bra strap, or rather, lack of one. The offense was practically a physical blow. Light’s surging blood had risen, and she would have torn herself from the chain and fled, if she could.
-
Unfortunately for Light, L likes to go about her day and night without wearing a bra underneath her milky-white shirt. This is proving to be a problem, considering she's handcuffed wrist-to-wrist with her for the foreseeable future.

Summary
"I am not interested in your corpse," Light says, and it rolls like a lie off his tongue. The phonemes are a little too plastic, performed, internalised.
L look at him - really looks at him - and his expression is unreadable. "You lie far too much, Light."
[Light wants L. God, he wants L more than anything.]
