With a glance to both Kevin and Andrew, he started to turn away.
“Neil.” He stopped. Kevin smiled, a sight he rarely saw. Neil felt his chest swell. “Happy birthday.” He rolled his eyes and continued going the too-short way back to his team.
Riko put an arm around his shoulder. To the cameras it looked harmless but to anyone who knew Riko, it was a warning.
“Stop ignoring me, Nathaniel. You know what will happen if you continue.”
