Summary
Yoongi staunchly remembers Jungkook starting the competition. Okay, well, the truth is that he doesn’t remember exactly how the fight to become the best griller at the annual block party started, but he’s very certain that Jungkook started it because Jungkook is annoying and competitive and has apparently made it his mission to get under Yoongi’s skin more than anyone else ever has.
This is the third year that Yoongi and Jungkook have been fighting over being crowned the best at grilling in their community. Yoongi is fairly certain that Taehyung is half a second away from making everyone at the block party vote just so that one of them can definitively be the winner and the loser will shut up. Namjoon says that the issue with this is the fact that Jungkook and Yoongi are both way too competitive and then it would have to be a competition that the entire neighborhood is acknowledging every year and Namjoon thinks that the best course of action is to ignore it until Jungkook and Yoongi stop bickering.
Yoongi would stop bickering, but he knows that Jungkook never will.
Or: Yoonkook are neighbors and single fathers who hide their attraction to one another behind a grilling rivalry.

When it becomes apparent Jeongguk won’t say anything else, Yoongi plucks the glass out of the other man’s hand with the tiniest eye roll. He sniffs at the remaining contents before directing his attention briefly back to the bartender. “And a gin and tonic, please.”
Yoongi dreads any corporate function during his precious weekend hours, this time a wasted Saturday night, but when he meets the company's recent tech support hire, he's pretty sure he made the right decision to attend.
