    i usually dont vibe with soulmate stuff, mainly because the concept existentially horrifies me, but also bc it often feels like a story’s conflict and resolution would be more interesting without it.
    this fic is not like that! the existential horror is still there, but the writing is sharp and crucially the soulmates element is consistently used to make the story more interesting and impactful

    also this informed me of a ton of adorable animals i didnt know existed and for that i will be forever grateful
