Summary
Gabriel Novak and Simon Tam were friends through their families, and their school. Both of their siblings, Castiel and River, went to an advanced academy when they were fourteen. When they found out that there was something wrong, they worked together for two years to get their siblings out again. They finally managed it. So Gabriel and Simon boarded Serenity at Persephone, and ran away.
They ended up dealing with an angry captain, coldhearted Alliance, and savage Reavers. Not to mention everything in between. But at least they're still alive, right?
*Rated M because of implied torture with the Alliance academy thing and lots of language.

Summary
Typically, when Arthur publicly made a fool of himself, Merlin would seek out the one other person who found as much comfort in such an incident as he did, and they would spend the rest of the afternoon huddled together in fits of laughter.
However, when he had turned away to find Gwaine’s gaze in the crowd, he hadn’t expected to see fading traces of the divine in the knight’s eyes, that familiar stamp of gold Merlin felt burning like fire whenever he toyed with a spell. Gwaine, completely oblivious as those eyes stayed trained on Arthur’s damp figure on the grass. Unaware, as he usually was, of how he had made Merlin’s breath constrict and die in his lungs.
Merlin’s heart was still racing even now, and had been beating out a rhythm of Gwaine’s name and panicked semblances of prayers ever since he had witnessed that.

Summary
In the aftermath of the king dismissing Merlin's concerns about Agravaine and Gaius, Lancelot realizes that he might not be enough to keep Merlin safe this time. So, he goes to a fellow Knight of the Round Table. Even if they don't always see eye to eye, Lancelot knows that Gwaine will do whatever he can to help Merlin.
Even follow him far from Camelot, to a place where he can be himself.
