“Why?”

I mean, sure, you can run from me for eternity until you finally give in, which you will do,” he said the last part in a playful whisper, “or, you just accept it right now, and way less people get hurt.” It felt like Lucifer was already possessing him, like he was already controlling his every movement.
“Come on… Just us two again, our infamous duo. Batman and Robin. Mulder and Scully. Sammy and Lucifer. Whaddaya say? All you gotta do is say yes, just like last time.”-
Lucifer is out of the cage, and torments Sam to give into his possession again. Will Sam refuse the request or accept it, at last?

Summary
He sees it. A hand, elegant and clean, trembling, while holding a gun. It feels wrong, as if that specific hand isn't supposed to be holding it - it's not made for it. But it does.
It took Sam a moment to realise that the gun was pointed directly at him. He feels a need to get out of this situation, as if there’s something he needs to do, someone to take care of: but he knows that the situation is unescapable and he knows that he deserves whatever was coming to him.
So he finally closes his eyes, prepares himself for the hot, electrifying shock of pain he’s about to receive, and drifts into the bliss of unconsciousness.
