The bathroom tap dripping provided consistent background noise in Nam-gyu’s shitty apartment, the sound of water hitting the sink basin coming every few seconds. He had been meaning to get that fixed - again - but hadn’t felt like calling a plumber. It was amongst the long list of things he’d been meaning to do, but hadn’t felt like it - replace the tiles in the bathroom, get a new shower curtain, fix the fridge light. It seemed like every time he fixed something in this shithole, something else broke.As if on cue, there was a loud thud through the wall followed by the sound of arguing. Nam-gyu’s nose crinkled as a shrill female voice filtered through the wall - fuck, he wished his neighbours would just break up permanently. Or that this stupid MG-Coin would be right and the crypto investment would pay off. Maybe then he could move out of this shitty apartment and leave his job at the club and find somewhere better. Though he’d have to go on a bender first, to reward himself for the fact that he didn’t strangle his neighbours or the patrons at the club.
