For thousands of years, Galadriel and Elrond had taken up the power of their rings to keep safe their realms and resist the evil of Sauron.
Here, at the end, it has at last taken its toll on them both. They are soon to set sail, but it seems sailing cannot come soon enough as they falter under the weight of their long-held burdens.
Fortunately for them both, there are plenty of mother hens to (subtly) fuss over them in Imladris, whether dignified or not.
