Taira’s got it rough.
Halfway through middle school, his parents said they were going on a business trip (and never came back); leaving him with not only the issue of finding a new place to live, but also the issue of not having anyone to talk to about it, like.. at all.Fortunately, using what little money he had saved, he was able to remake his image for high school and now seems to be keeping his head above water.
Unfortunately, he all but failed to reinvent his loser personality + his horrible fear of confrontation, and living on the streets of Tokyo day in and day out is starting to take its toll on him, even with the helpful pay from his part-time job.
Still, though- he knows he has to change one way or another if he wants to make it in the social hierarchy of high school, and if he has to hide his true self to do so, then so be it!But as his teenage loser brain develops a crush on his classmate, Azuma, he realizes that she (along with a few others) have started to get close.. too close.. to him.
[Or, if Taira’s true home life was a lot uglier than he made it out to be, and it wasn’t just the middle-school bullying that changed him.]
