Summary
The smell of fried pork had Izuku’s mouth watering, his eyes wide as he took in the beautiful katsudon laid out before him. It looked perfect: the rice was fluffy, the onions translucent, the eggs bright and smooth. All topped with a thick piece of golden pork that leaked clear juices, mixing with the sauce that’d been ladled in a swirl on top. It was the prettiest katsudon he’d ever seen, made faster than he thought possible, and he wanted it.
“I figured after all the shit you’ve eaten today you needed a real meal.”
“You’re very presumptuous for someone in the middle of an interview.” Even as he spoke, Izuku picked up his chopsticks, poking at the food for a moment under the guise of examining it closer. “Tell me about yourself.”
“Bakugou Katsuki. Your new head chef. Or I will be, once you actually shut up and eat your food.”

Red eyes. Blond hair. Remnants of Holy in the stranger's magic…? No. Nonono there was no way. This stranger couldn't possibly be the—
"L-Lucif—?"
"Eugh," the now-demon spits, a twist to his face. "Don't call me that. Any name given to me by that spineless fuck you call—what, Adam?—is no name of mine."
"B…But you—" Izuku's protest stops short as an upturned palm settles in front of his face. Weary eyes tremble as they continue to take in the hulking form of who should be the last person Izuku wishes to see.
Yet…
Izuku returns the gesture, shocked when their hands meet, because Lucifer's hand doesn't scorch his flesh upon touch. It's callous, surprisingly well-worked. Not too different from his own.
And at that, Izuku's face falls.
"He's likely spewed a lot of shit about me," Lucifer adds rather glaringly. "Self-absorbed prick, a stealer of wives," he scoffs. The man—the demon—the King?—then glances off to the side, a crease forming between his brows.
"Jealousy," he tacks on quietly, "can be nearly as sinful as whatever else they have in that little golden rule book in that big, empty white room."

Summary
Lohen, who had been walking closer to the table, looks over at him. "Hm? Oh, no no no," he chuckles, waving a hand. "I'm just here to make sure our Grand Master doesn't work himself to death." Lohen talks with a slight purr, blowing a bubble. "Someone has to, after all," he says casually, shrugging his shoulders.
Despite what he says, what he does, there's a certain tension radiating from him that's hard to miss. It's one he's well acquainted with seeing on the knight after knowing him for so long. Lohen puts on airs, seeming casual and flippant. He smiles like there isn't a problem, deflecting with an ill mannered joke like this one. But Varka sees past that. He sees the uneasiness in his steps, how his eyes linger on certain points in the room for a touch too long. Lohen holds himself like he's ready to strike at any moment, keeping weapons in easy reach. Or, if needed, bolt for the exit.
Varka's more than willing to bet Lohen didn't come here right after getting back to camp. He doesn't miss the exhaustion in the other's eyes either.

Katsuki doesn’t know why he’s so fucking bothered by it to begin with. Fuck if he knows why he feels like throwing a goddamn tantrum over the fact that Deku’s got a boyfriend.
Maybe it’s 'cuz Deku was fucking three years old, once upon a time, messing with Katsuki and Eijirou’s shit. Ruining their sandcastles and being an annoying little nuisance. He was forced to watch Deku, 'cuz he was Ei’s baby brother and if Katsuki wanted to hang out with his best friend, like ever, then Deku would just have to be in the fucking corner somewhere, dampening the scene, like the stupid little fuck he was.
Deku’s hardly even sparing a glance at him right now, though, and he hasn’t fucking asked about where Eijirou is, not even once.
“I just—” and Katsuki really is pacing now, fingers tangled in his hair. “You shouldn’t even have a boyfriend right now, Deku. Not at your age."
Alternatively: Katsuki realizes his best friend's annoying kid brother isn't much of an annoying kid anymore. (He's fucked.)
