Summary
When the flowers first come it's a weird feeling. There’s something soft lodged into his throat threatening to choke him if he holds it in any longer. So he coughs it up, and out comes a small rose petal. They don’t really have instructions for when stuff like this happens. At first Ash assumes that maybe it's a prank and Planet and Spoke played on him during his sleep, because god it feels that way.

Summary
Somewhere not so far west from the South…
Scott watched the sun sink slowly beyond the horizon, its warm orange light spilling across the fields of flowers he had tended and loved for years. The quiet moment was broken only by the soft whistle of a kettle on the stove, signaling that the water was ready.
He poured the steaming water into a white cup, the heat coaxing the fragrance from the tea leaves within. A gentle stir, slow and practiced, and it was done. Scott lifted the cup, blowing softly across the surface as he prepared to drink.
His peaceful afternoon, however, was interrupted by a knock at the door. With a low hum, he set the cup down upon the wooden table and made his way over, unhurried. When he opened the door, surprise stole his breath.
Standing there was a tall blond boy with eyes deep of brown cocoa beans. Yellow folded wings on his back with a pair of small ones on his head, both unpreened. Marking him as something far from ordinary. A hybrid. Scott has heard and seen them. This was no greater example.
