How long?
He wasn’t sure. All he’d ever known was this world he was put in, to care for and protect as its guardian. It was a beautiful world, no doubt, but it was limiting.
Ho-Oh wanted freedom.
Countless prayers and offerings were sent up to him every day, pleas from the people for him to give them prosperity and peace. He responded every time with grace and generosity; as the Guardian of the Sky, the Protector of his people. And despite every cell in his body crying out to be free, he continued his responsibility.
So it went on.
Or, the origin story of Ho-Oh and the three beasts of Johto.

Summary
How does the saying go? When one door closes, another door opens. Is that it? It sounds about right.
As Techno looks around the SMP, looks at all the faces of the people he's met, all the people he's fought for and against, he can't help but feel like this door is closing. The door is closing on this life that he's led here.
Some people look devastated to see him go, but he isn't leaving. He's just entering a new door, one filled with endless possibilities, one filled with things that wouldn't have ever been possible on this server. He has no idea what those things are, but he'll find out soon enough.
Because this door is closing, whether he likes it or not. The time for him to leave is steadily approaching.
So, with a small smile, Technoblade meets eyes with everyone who's gathered to see him go and says, "Try not to miss me too much, nerds."
