The Pizzaplex was rebuilt, with hopes of bringing back nostalgia for the young adults who'd gone there as early teenagers.
Sadly, it worked. Business is booming, too much. The animatronics are being mishandled after their upgrades, it's difficult for them to get from place to place without getting swarmed, and security is getting overwhelmed.
You had come here to apply for a position, a ‘handler’, the shiny title wouldn’t hurt your resume or your wallet.
The job description was simple: you say what the stars can't, you push people out of the way, you deny autographs. You're the bad guy, so the show can go on. And holy shit if the pay isn't great. You have a knack for calmly getting through angry people.

If you like monsters, dark themes, fucked up shit, the CoD boys or Reader character not necessarily being a good person, stuff like that, you may enjoy what you find here. Reader is AFAB but skin color etc. isn't normally mentioned. No use of Y/N or any of that. König is a favorite of mine so he'll feature heavily!

You don't talk much to the hired guns, but one day seasickness gets the best of you, and you meet a tall, hooded man on the deck of the ship suffering from the same affliction.
A nausea-induced meet-cute. Multiple instances of nausea and vomiting but nothing graphic.
Loosely inspired by the book Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant, but (hopefully) the extra reading isn't necessary to understand this fic (mostly inspired by the setting).
