Illumi blinked, once, twice. He stayed silent for a moment more, his face looking more frustrated by the second, “My father got married around my age, I believe I should too.”
Hisoka tilted his head, his grin only growing wider. While the thought of Illumi marrying anyone was laughable, he couldn’t deny that the idea made sense. Getting married would likely please his family, and Illumi lived to please.
Illumi was a beautiful thing, not to mention dangerous, he really was an angel of death. Based on looks alone, Illumi would likely have suitors lined up. However, to put it simply, Illumi was perhaps too broken. Easy for Hisoka to love, but not many people would hold the same sentiment. Hisoka wasn’t even sure if Illumi’s family truly loved him, though he’d never tell Illumi that— it’d only break him more, and Hisoka didn’t think Illumi could handle that.
Or: Hisoka and Illumi get engaged, meet the family, and then bang (in that order).

Hisoka crouched down, running a hand through Illumi’s hair, holding back a sigh as his beloved had, once again, failed to verbally respond. It wasn’t uncommon. Whether it came from his training or actual state of being, Hisoka wasn’t sure. All he knew was that, on occasion, Illumi chose to simply not speak. Or, perhaps, it was less of a conscious choice and rather his brain dragging him away from reality.
His darling was just so exhausted that his mind compensated for it by shutting off anything that wasn’t pertinent to survival. Even more likely, his poor brain had simply learned that staying silent and letting the world pass him by was the safest option when debilitated.
Or, Illumi arrives home from a job and Hisoka takes care of him.

Summary
One hand brushing over Illumi’s cheek, the other running through his hair, Hisoka leaned forward, “Oh, my sweet, sweet darling. What I’d give to make you cry for me.”
“I do not cry.” Illumi was just as impassive as always. Truly a doll. Besides the groan he had offered earlier, his husband always was so devoid of emotion. It only urged Hisoka on further.
“Ah, of course. Silly me…” Hisoka wouldn’t dare admit that making Illumi cry was his only goal for the night, no, that would only make his love try harder not to. And he did not need that.
In which Illumi states he cannot cry, and Hisoka is more than happy to challenge that belief.

Summary
On a heist in the sprawling neon-lit metropolis of York New, the members of the Phantom Troupe acquire a synthetic that they later realize belongs to the infamous series Z4 of Zoldyck & Sons Inc. - a company that has risen to a somewhat questionable reputation thanks to their highly specialised mechanical companions. About 20 years ago, series Z4 was well-known in certain circles for their capabilities in covert espionage as well as assassinations. The original Z4 models had been thought lost for many years. Until now.
In the beginning, most members of the Troupe consider this find exceedingly lucky but slowly and surely things are developing not quite as they had hoped. For starters, their model, Z-01IL-LU, seems to be close to its expiration date: Malfunctions, glitches and strange hallucinations occur almost daily, rendering the robots services nearly obsolete. Secondly, the Troupe member paired with the synth for most of their missions, Hisoka, is starting to develop a rather unhealthy obsession with the pretty robot.
Before the Troupe can even think about ridding themselves of the antiquated model, a shadowy figure appears on the scene, keen to reclaim the rogue synthetic.

Summary
illumi isn't exactly pleased the first long mission he receives in the midst of looking for killua and alluka, but illumi would never deny a mission. he seeks out hisoka's help to speed up the mission so he can go back to focusing on more priority tasks, but as expected, things don't shape up to be as anyone expects them to.
aka, hisoka and illumi are both forces to be reckoned with individually. together, however, they are the definition of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object.
