Summary
Henry has always loved words. Writing he thinks, was his true first love.
After his father’s death, therapy writing makes him feel almost normal again.
Thanks to a drunken Pez falling into his therapy poems (of all things!) some of his words are out in the open before he gets to know Alex.
When their emails are leaked, a small part of him is relieved that not all his writing will be dragged into it.Or, Henrys writing throughout key moments in his life: Grief, self-doubt, falling in love, breaking up, being outed and finding forever in Alex arms.

“You will be very angry. With me.” Each word came out weaker from the one before it and by the time Rozanov was done speaking LeClaire had to strain his ears just to hear what the other man way saying to him. “By morning. Is going to be everywhere.”
LeClaire muted the television. Whatever Rozanov was calling about was going to require his full attention. It didn’t sound like there was any way this was going to stay in Boston or be something the Bruins could cover up. He ran through the possibilities in his head: vehicular manslaughter, Kent-esque accusations, Rozanov finally deciding to jump off the Storrow overpass. He honestly wasn’t sure which one of those would be worse.

Shane’s heart drops into his stomach. “Ilya,” he breathes. His vision goes blurry, throat tight. He tries to swallow it down and focus, shove his swirling thoughts into a neat little box, but it’s impossible. He feels—he might throw up, actually. “Are you seriously telling me you tried to fucking kill yourself?”
“Yes,” Ilya agrees blandly, “It did not work.”
Ilya calls Shane from the hospital. Shane handles it very normally.
