Summary
Four sawians have clawed their way back from hell with the keys to freedom in their hands. Their luck is incredible, their timing impeccable, their skill and determination beyond what their captors were prepared for. This is the Good Ending.
But how is one supposed to "move on" and live like a normal person after a lifetime of fear and confinement? What do you do when salvation doesn't fix your problems overnight? When your biggest obstacles now come from within? There are no endings in this world.
A "fix-it fic" of sorts, made with the goal of giving the sawians more agency in their fate (for better and for worse). Happier than it sounds?

Somewhere nearby, something exploded.
A misanthropic recluse who was quick to settle down and abandon their hopeless mission into the caves is forced out of a listless cycle of sleeping and hiding when a landmine goes off mere meters from their life pod. They can't just leave someone to die, right?
