“I didn’t expect you to be here again,” Kiryu finally says. “I mean, I didn’t think you could machine wash leather and snakeskin.”
Majima chuckles. “Well, you’d be right. Shit runs me a fortune in dry cleaning.” He rests an elbow on the machine, feels its hum resonate through his forearm. “But I got plenty of other clothes that need washin’. Whole lotta underwear, for example.”
Kiryu can’t stop one of his eyebrows from flying up his forehead. “Really,” he says, with a great deal of skepticism.
“Oi. Whaddaya mean, really? Ya think I’m runnin’ around commando under those leather pants?”
Kiryu looks away, flushing a delicious, rosy pink, suddenly aware of corner he’s backed himself into, where his only escape is to speculate on the presence—or lack thereof—of Majima’s undergarments. “Well… yes.”
