"Yoongi-hyung?” Namjoon’s eyes were wide and at some point, while Yoongi had been thinking too much, he’d flopped down on the mattress and smushed a cheek into the duvet. He looked young. He looked young with his senseless perm and the little acne scars dotting his cheeks and again, it was easy to wonder if he looked like that too. Who the hell did Namjoon see looking back at him?
“Yeah?”
Namjoon opened his mouth, closed it. It should’ve looked stupid (to anyone else it probably would’ve), but all Yoongi could focus on was the way his lips parted. Huh.
(or: yoongi sees namjoon and his godawful perm and falls into something like love)

“You know, this is what you get for being too good at writing,” Yoongi tells him a moment later, once Namjoon has opened his eyes again and blinked spots out of his vision. “Next time, write an acrostic poem or something. Nobody would believe that’s romantic.”
“You haven’t read my acrostic poems,” Namjoon says, watching Yoongi settle cross-legged on the mattress, because there’s a corner of his brain that’s dedicated to bickering with Yoongi and it’s stuck permanently firing on all cylinders.
“I haven’t read your letter either,” Yoongi shoots back, eyebrows raised, as if he’s expecting Namjoon to just hand it over like that. “Was your ode to friendship really that intense? Because she really seemed convinced it couldn’t be anything but a love letter.”
(or: Namjoon's latest creative writing assignment is... Interesting. Too bad Yoongi gets dragged into it.)
