Summary
Raccoon City is a nightmare for a multitude of reasons. It is the source of Leon's nightmares. It is where this whole bioweapon business started for most of the world. It is where, as an almost fifty-year-old man, Leon runs into one Victor Gideon. Gideon sees Leon as something far more interesting than a DSO agent poking his nose in places he shouldn't.
It was only a few minutes. It isn't a big deal. He wasn't even hurt.

He frowned and turned the volume knob.

Bryan turned the knob again.
Suddenly, a voice came through.
"I've read you! What's your situation?"

Or where Leon hears Bryan’s call for help over the radio and is willing to risk everything to find that guy because he made a promise — and everyone knows that promises made to strangers over a radio connection during a near-zombie apocalypse are pretty damn serious.

He crossed his arms as he glanced down at the sleeping baby. "So…care to explain?"
Chris didn't meet his eyes as he stayed silent, and Leon thought he wouldn't get a response, but then, he said, "Just to be clear—she's not mine. In case you were wondering."
Well. I was, actually. But that still doesn't answer my million other questions.
"It's…a long story," Chris continued. "I promise I'll explain everything in the morning—just…we might have to stay here for a bit. I don't know how long." He finally looked up to meet Leon's eyes, and he hadn't seen them hold that much pain in years. "You're one of the few people I can trust with this. I'm sorry."

Just after Leon is given another forced vacation after an awful mission, Chris arrives at his apartment with a baby after three years of radio silence, needing a place to lay low while shit with the BSAA gets figured out. It couldn't be worse timing considering his mental state, but Leon could never be one to say no to someone in need—especially when it was Chris.
Then again, maybe the timing ends up being exactly when he needed it the most.

Summary
Lately, Leon found himself looking forward to very little. Time spent with Chris was one of the few exceptions, but unfortunately everyone knew Chris' heart was permanently soldered to his moral high horse, galloping toward some noble goal Leon knew he’d never measure up to.
Or: Leon gets injured on a mission and Chris takes it upon himself to take care of him.
