Summary
After a few moments, Okarun returned with the garment and handed it to Momo without even looking at her, making her frown almost immediately.
“Here,” he said, holding it out to her.
Momo curled her lips into a slight grimace. She looked at the garment first… and then at Okarun, who suddenly seemed very interested in the kitchen window.
“Then why did you ask?” she muttered under her breath.
He didn’t answer. Instead, he waved the garment a little more insistently in front of her.
It was then that three things happened:
First, Momo silently studied Okarun’s profile.
Second, a loud clap of thunder echoed behind them, briefly lighting up the kitchen.
