He sighed softly, staring up at the ceiling. He could just refuse to go, tell max to go alone — but, he didn’t exactly want to spend the first half of his summer in Monaco alone. So, it was either go with Max or spend his summer by himself.
“I’m getting up.” He wasn’t. He stayed lied there for a few minutes longer, he could sense the exasperation radiating from Max — he knew that the older man was stressed, but that was his own fault as he clearly hadn’t set an alarm.
“George.”
Or, Max is invited by Toto to his yacht during the summer holidays, however George is not. Toto, somehow, does not know of their relationship — even though they have been together since 2020.
Aka, Toto and Kimi find out about Max and George’s relationship, and Max plans something big for him and George.

“He hated it, and he knew that fucking toto was to blame. That man had been prioritising Kimi all season, not that he didn’t cherish the rookie and feel proud of him — but, it wasn’t fair to George. The man had been with Mercedes for almost a decade, yet was still getting mistreated.”
Or: George is fed up with his treatment at Mercedes, and slowly begins falling into a downward spiral. This spiral is only made worse when his secret (long-term) relationship with max verstappen is revealed to the media.
