Maybe hitting his head was the catalyst to the situation; after all, Dr. Cho never mentioned any psychological effects from the arm injury. Maybe when he hit his head on the way down, or when brick and concrete crushed him like a bug, it shook loose all the bad memories from their designated “do not look at, touch, or think about” section in his mind.
Maybe that's why his mind shoves memory after memory down his throat, relentlessly forcing him to relive a past he'd rather not touch.

In the wake of a severe injury, Peter is forced to put down the mask for a bit, which is fine! Totally fine. He could use a break from vigilanteism. He’s a busy PhD student, you know? But when the reality of what Peter’s seen and done during his run as Spider-Man suddenly starts to catch up to him during that break, it becomes increasingly evident that Peter is not as unaffected by vigilanteism he’d like to believe.
While being relentlessly bullied by life itself, and accidentally becoming the roommate of a certain red-clad mercenary he’s been trying to shake, Peter has to eventually come to terms with the fact that something has to change, soon.

(The reason it is called Zaman Saçmalıkları (Time Nonsense is the translate from Turkish) is that when I was 12 years old I started to write a crack fic named that. Bucky felt his muscles untense a little in relief. He continued down the alleyway again, this time at a brisker pace. He was preparing himself to see a kid, maybe hurt after he got mugged, or injured after doing something stupid he didn’t want his parents to know about, or beaten up trying to defend himself.
An image of a scrawny Steve floated to the forefront of his mind, but he quickly shoved it to the back again.
All of that being said, nothing could have prepared himself for what he actually saw.
Tucked into the corner of an alleyway, sitting, was New York’s one and only red-and-blue-costumed vigilante, now with a little too much red, as blood was flowing from a wound that he was futilely pressing down on.
